Industrial Paint Booths
Quality Painting Booths help you create better paint jobs. Shaped to give you enough room to work, and provisioned with plenty of light and ventilation to see what you’re painting, our wet paint booths are lasting investments in your business.
SQUARE ROOF SHAPE
Many smaller, cheaper, paint booths feature a hip-style roof that’s cheaper to manufacture. This shape allows a smaller fan system to move less air through its smaller amount of total interior volume. We don’t produce this shape, because those lower roof areas reduce the area available to work in. Instead, our wet paint booths have a square roof shape, which provides plenty of volume to arrange parts and move around them.
GOOD LIGHTING EVEN MORE IMPORTANT THAN IN POWDER COATING
A hip-roof shape means light fixtures end up in places where the painter has to look into the light source, or work in his own shadow. Since visual clarity is even more important for wet painting than powder coating, we believe good lighting is critical to business success.
A wet paint applicator has to judge evenness of coating and color match as he works. We support his work by using ceiling-mounted lighting in a flat roof, designed to emulate a bright, but cloudy day.
We also supply externally accessible light fixtures with our booths. Internally accessible light fixtures require safety switches that kill power to the booth. This safety requirement means a spark from the fixture won’t ignite flammable paint materials. Choosing externally accessible light fixtures removes that requirement. You end up with fewer switches and one less circuit to maintain and repair.
GOOD AIRFLOW
Our paint booths provide a high degree of air movement while painting – much higher than codes typically require. Why? We know that the amount of airflow required to be safe is lower than the amount required to do good work. We want to support your business, so we install superior curved-blade fans that push more air with less electricity.
Good airflow also supports business success using water-borne paints. Our systems are built to provide premium results with both water-borne paints and conventional paints. We provide so much airflow, you won’t need to consider add-ons.
SOLID, DEPENDABLE BOOTH CONSTRUCTION
We use only prime, domestic steel – we don’t import from China and Mexico, and we don’t use seconds. Therefore, our quality is better, and our metal thicknesses is accurate. Also, we buy our galvanized metal at the G90 standard (better than G60, G30, and plain galvanized). The 18-gauge steel in our booths acts as 1-hour firewall. This metal costs us more, but you get a more durable product.
These booths are built so that you can accommodate small imperfections in the floor. Inexpensive booths use angle iron or direct fastening to your floor. Our booths are freestanding and self-supporting as they are assembled. This structural integrity makes our booths more resistant to natural earth movements and nearby tremors from manufacturing.
All booth panels are built on 5” bolt centers. Others use 6-15” centers. Our closer bolt spacing makes our panels more strongly assembled. We use a higher quality, Grade 5 Fastenal brand fastener. These flanged nuts and bolts grip the metal, making a snug, lasting fit, that’s also fast and easy to assemble.
DOORS
Doors on booths are made from rectangular steel tube stock, rather than folded sheet metal. Our doors will retain their shape better under use. These doors also have a tube stock frame that is self-supporting, so a smooth floor for support casters is no longer required.
Professional installation is available; customization of our modular design is easy – talk to us about what you need.
Common types of customization and upgrades:
- Vestibule – a workspace or observation area strapped onto the paint booth
- Paint mixing rooms – 2, 3, or 4-sided room attached to or near paint booth that preserves a clean atmosphere for the paint applicator. Has ability to retain spilled paint, and supplies ventilation.
- Additional personnel doors and observation windows.
- Environmental Control – In cold climates, low ambient air temperature can slow down production. Our paint booths can be upgraded to include controlled heaters, to keep environmental temperatures at levels that support quality application and specified dry times.
